Pet Portrait Photography Exhibit and Sale to benefit Family Dogs New Life 1/31/13

Friday, January 4th, 2013

We are super excited to be part of Portland GiveBack’s winter philanthropic event at the end of January!  The beneficiary this time around is Family Dogs New Life Shelter and 50% of the art sales proceeds will go to help them expand their operation and find homes for dogs regardless of breed or history.

We have close to 40 pieces already installed with a few more to go, plus we’ll have greeting cards, smaller prints, and perhaps some surprises for the night of the event.  There will be food and wine and art to fit every budget and all for a great cause AND IT’S FREE!

Show your support by joining us:

Thursday, January 31st, 4:30 – 9pm
Oregon First NE Office,
5136 NE Garfield Ave., Portland, OR  97211

More event details…

Speaking of support, we have to give a HUGE shout out and THANK YOU to ProLam for generously donating the mounting for more than half the pieces.  Their work looks fantastic and will go a long way to helping us give generously to FDNL.

This image is also entered, along with several others into JPGmag’s “Dog Days” photo contest. If you have a minute please check out our photos and vote!

Blogging vs. Facebook/Twitter

Monday, August 29th, 2011

Ever since putting up our Facebook page, it seems I’ve been more inclined  to “micro blogging” rather than updating here. Since the last update, we’ve been keeping busy photographing lots of pet portraits and a couple amazing milestone events including a 90th birthday party and a 50th wedding anniversary party. In July I took a couple months off to recuperate from surgery, but we are back in action and kicking things off with a wedding at a central Oregon mountain resort. We are also very excited to be working with the Oregon Opportunity Network and will be photographing a series of events for them starting with their Annual Awards Gala and Industry Support Conference in mid-September.

Adventures in Pet Photography: Frisky Frisco

Monday, January 17th, 2011

Last week we had the pleasure of photographing a wonderful family and their beloved dog and cats. Among them was this frisky fellow, who bonded with me as soon as we walked in for our second day of shooting. We had so much fun with them, we’re planning to have a little caption contest on our Facebook page in the next few days.
